US based networking giant Juniper Networks has linked its intrusion-detection platforms to its NAC products. This way its NAC Software called as UAC will be able to restrict devices enter into the network using various dubious means.
The latest version of Juniper's NAC product line, Unified Access Control 2.1, adds integration with its Intrusion Detection and Prevention (IDP) products to provide more protection for customers when problems arise.
Juniper Unified Access Control (UAC) software data gathered from the company's Intrusion Detection and Prevention (IDP) platforms triggers its UAC software to block all malicious traffic at its source.
The updated software, which runs on Juniper's Infranet Controller 4000 and 6000 Series devices, also adds support for unmanaged endpoints such as printers and VoIP phones, integrates with patch management technology from Shavlik and adds support for endpoints running Micorosft Windows Vista.
Juniper is also announcing that it has a version of its UAC client software operating with the Microsoft Vista operating system. |
