Oracle Stands At Top in the Application Deployment Software Market

IDC, an IT market research and advisory firm, has announced Oracle as the Asia Pacific (excluding Japan) market share leader with 30.5 percent market share in the application deployment software market based on total software revenue for 2007. According to IDC, the application deployment software market grew 23.7 percent in 2007 in Asia Pacific (excluding Japan) to approximately USD 665.5 million.

In its report, IDC also states that Oracle was the fastest-growing application deployment software vendor among the top five vendors in Asia Pacific (excluding Japan) in 2007, posting 38.1 percent revenue growth from 2006 to 2007.

It also addressed Oracle as the market share leader in Singapore with 35.6 percent market share in the application deployment software market based on total software revenue for 2007, growing faster than the market and gaining more than one point of revenue share.
